Do you know four types of tungsten carbide dies?

What is tungsten carbide die?

The service life of tungsten carbide die is more than ten times or even dozens of times that of steel mold. tungsten carbide die has only high hardness, high strength, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and small expansion coefficient.

Generally, tungsten cobalt cemented carbide is used. Such as market standard materials YG3, YG6, yg6x Yg8.yg15, YG20, YG20C, YG25 and HU20, HU222, hwn1 (non-magnetic alloy mold) adopt special processes such as primary carbide material and low-pressure sintering, the toughness will be better than that of conventional production, and the service life will be increased by 3-5 times. And do you know four types of tungsten carbide dies?

Tungsten carbide dies can be divided into four categories according to their applications:

The first is cemented carbide wire drawing dies, which account for the vast majority of cemented carbide dies. The main brands of wire drawing dies in China are YG8, YG6 and YG3, followed by YG15, YG6X and YG3X. Some new brands have been developed, such as YL for high-speed wire drawing, and cs05 (YLO.5), cg20 (yl20) and cg40 (YL30) imported from abroad; K10、ZK20/ZK30.

The second type of dies are cold heading, cold stamping and shaping dies, and the main brands are yc20c, YG20, YG15, ct35, yjt30 and mo15.

The third type of mold is non-magnetic alloy mold used for the production of magnetic materials, such as YSN series YSN (including 20, 25, 30, 35, 40) and steel bonded non-magnetic mold brand TMF.
The fourth type is mold in high temperature. There is no standard brand for this kind of alloy, and the market demand is increasing.
